Drive Slow

We live in a world today where everyone is in a hurry. You may be able to get away with it when the ground is dry, but if the ground is wet or icy, you will have a higher chance of causing an accident.

Driving slow ensures that you will have enough time and traction to stop your vehicle if a pedestrian comes out of nowhere.

It also helps prevent sliding on parts of the road that are slipperier than other parts.

Keep Both Hands on the Wheel

If your car does end up sliding in a parking lot, your quickly losing control over your car. By keeping both hands on the wheel you can maximize your control over your car to regain control and prevent an accident.

Choose a Parking With a Roof

Driving on wet asphalt is very dangerous as. Intentionally choosing a dry parking space either in a parking garage or a parking garage with multiple levels will lower your risk of losing control of your car, which will lower your risk of an accident.

A parking lot with a roof does not mean an accident-free area, however. We’ve all seen that one person who drives like he’s on the highway in the parking lot. The best way to drive is to assume that no one else on the road is paying attention. By expecting the worst from the drivers around you, you will be preparing yourself for the worst situation you can encounter.

While entering a parking lot, there will be an illusion that since the ground is dry, but still isn’t direct contact between your tires and the road because your tires will still be wet from outside.

You should also be extra cautious around entrances and exits of the parking. There is a high chance that the ground will be wet from the rain, as well as from wet car tiers that enter the parking lot.

Pay Extra Attention Around Corners

Corners are one of the most dangerous areas a driver can encounter. This is not so much because your car can’t handle, but because you never know what to expect. You could turn the corner and be faced with anything from a 4-year-old child on the loose, a deer, or even a grown adult who is so concerned with texting that they forgot to look both ways.

Pair not knowing what to expect and a handicapped response to what you see and you will have a higher chance of causing an accident.
